Cedar Class Assembly

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Wow, such a lot to write about. Cedar took the assembly this Wednesday. The audience were given a shodow puppet show while they waited for the assembly to start. Cedar came into the hall singing a Pirate song. We were shown symmetrical minibeast pictures, clay animals and their environment and wax resist pictures. The class then told the story of Jonah with the help of muscial sound effects. A very exciting assembly with lots to show, but that was not the end, we then heard the ‘ Cedar’s Got Talent’ song, proving that they certainly do. Well done.

Cedar Class Assembly

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

WOW! On Tuesday Cedar class treated friends and family to a cross curricular assembly. We saw planet pictures created with pastels, colourful planets made out of bicycle wheels which had ribbons woven through the spokes, buttons sewn onto material to represent the planets, paintings of their homes, drama in the form of The 3 Little Pigs and finally the science element with exploding rockets. Well done Cedar class so much to fit it, so little time but we could hear every word.

Flat Stanley

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Yesterday (Tuesday) Cedar Class received two very impressive envelopes. these were replies to the Flat Stanley letters which were featured during their class assembly. The children were excited to notice the postmark of the first envelope, ‘BUCKINGHAM PALACE’. Inside was a letter from the Queen’s Lady in Waiting. She thanked them for telling the Queen all about Flat Stanley and the childrens own stories. She sent back the Flat Nathan and Flat Abi with some very interesting leaflets.

The second letter was from Great Ormond Street Hospital School. They had produced a lovely book showing where Flat Isobel had been around their school.
