We had more than 160 Grandparents visit us on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th. During an assembly some of the amazing work the children have done this term was shown. The Grandparents were then invited to join in the activities prepared for a lesson. A short tour of the school later and it was time for refreshments. Many of the Grandparents were grateful for the chance to see their grandchildren in the school environment. We are very pleased with the feedback we have received. Our singing group were very popular and thanks to Mrs Warren-Keily for the work she has put into the group.

We are looking forward to welcoming Grandparents to school on Tuesday 24th March at 1.30 - 3.00 and on Wednesday 25th March at 9.15 - 11.00.

This week the children had a visit from Fire Fighter Phil. He spoke to them about being safe around fire, and not to make prank calls to emergency services. He also had staff volunteers to wear a fireman’s outfit. This picture shows Mrs King.

WOW! On Tuesday Cedar class treated friends and family to a cross curricular assembly. We saw planet pictures created with pastels, colourful planets made out of bicycle wheels which had ribbons woven through the spokes, buttons sewn onto material to represent the planets, paintings of their homes, drama in the form of The 3 Little Pigs and finally the science element with exploding rockets. Well done Cedar class so much to fit it, so little time but we could hear every word.

On Tuesday 10th March Cherry class shared some of their work with their families and the rest of the school. Some of last terms work on Space was shown and some of the work already completed on our new topic of Homes and Buildings.

This week Oak Class led the assembly on Tuesday. They shared some of the work they covered in last term’s topic of Space. The youngest of the class had a space day at school while others went on a trip to Herstmonceux. The pictures shown during assembly showed how much fun they had. 

We also saw some of their work on this term’s topic of Homes and Buildings. The children have produced some lovely work and presented their assembly very well.
